The Cross company is important company in Broumov area. It is situated in protected landscape area Broumovsko in Náchod region in Královéhradecký district. At this time company Cross has three factories, two in Police nad Metují and one in Broumov.
The Cross company is dealing with high qualified engineering production, stainless steel processing, production of metal toys and job-order metal manufacturing. Is connecting with more than 100 years old tradition of engineering production in Police nad Metují.
The Cross Company was established in 1991 by his present owner and director Ing. Jaromír Kříž. Ing. Jaromír Kříž started with making business after the revolution in the building by the restitution. Ing. Jaromír Kříž finished his studies on Secondary school of engineering and University of mechanic and textile in Liberec. He was interested in engineering therefore he decided to make a business in engineering. At the beginning he was dealing with job-order metal manufacture firstly from stainless steel. He obtained his first bigger orders for food-processing and engineering industry and company started to develop successfully. Volume of business came in 1994, when he bought bankrupt company KOMEB and started to produce traditional Czech toy – metal construction set MERKUR. Next step of Ing. Jaromír Kříž was his strategy based on investments in modern progressive technology usable in engineering. In 1998 he bought as the first round CNC punching press.
The Cross company could have reached bigger and more interesting orders from inland and abroad too. In consequence of enquiry, the company started to specialize in CNC sheet metal processing. The Cross company bought CNC folding brake and CNC laser cutter and now is able to offer complex services in the area of sheet metal processing from 0,2 mm to 12 mm to his customers.
The Cross company got on this strategy and in 2003 bought first CNC milling machine.
Company decided to reassume on rich experiences of tool makers in the company and round with the help of high tech. This part of the company is the youngest one, but the most dynamic unfolding. In 2004 company bought second CNC milling machine and modern CNC Expert Electroerosion system.
